Interactive exhibits at the Texas Energy Museum recount to visitors the history of petroleum science from the formation of oil to the refining process. The museum sits in downtown Beaumont, near the Art Museum of Southeast Texas and the Edison Museum. Talking animatronic figures present early oil drilling's history, including the nearby Spindletop gusher of 1901.
